There are so many different accessories you can add to dresses, to make them unique!
We have grabbed one of our plain, satin, fishtail dresses from Badgley Mischka, "Ally-D", and styled it in a few different ways to show you just what we mean!
Two Bridal Looks!
Adding a simple lace piece to this dress, softens the shape and makes the dress seem that little bit more traditional. A lot of our brides do this to create two looks for their wedding day- a ceremony look and reception look!
Some Extra Coverage
Our brides love the dramatic lines of this dress, but want some coverage- i.e. feel self conscious about their arms, or feel that they aren't 100% comfortable in a strapless dress. This Bardot style piece with three quarter sleeves provides the coverage, whilst also creating a flattering line across the chest. Teamed up with a little sparkly belt to show off the waist, and to tie the lace and satin together! We love this look!
Creating different shapes
Did you know that we can buy add-on skirts/ trains separate from some of our suppliers? Badgley Mischka themselves design different skirts as seperates, so you can change your dress's style/shape during the day. Here we have added a simple, tulle, A-line skirt to the fishtail silouhette, to create a boho look for the reception, which can be changed to the evening gown style in the evening- simply just by taking off the outer layer!
Glam it up!
This dress is already a glamorous, highly sophisticated gown. Wearing the dress alone will still make you feel and look like you're about to step onto a red carpet! But what if you want that little bit extra on the big day? Here we have added a belt, diamond necklace and fur shrug, for a luxurious look. This also partially hides the dress, so you can have a big reveal at your reception when you change up your style again, removing the shrug!
This is just a few ways that a dress can be styled- its lots of fun transferring a brides personality into her dress, making it extra special for her, on her wedding day!
lots of love, Team CB xx
