Flower girls!

We have some new arrivals on our Flower Girls rail! Such gorgeous little gowns for our mini me's on our big days!

Traditionally, the flower girl is meant to wear ivory or white to match the bride on her wedding day. Did you know that this age old traditional, started in Roman times, when upper class Romans (and Greeks for that matter), used a Flower girl, scattering grains and herbs at the front of the wedding procession, to symbolise fertility. Skipping forwards to the Elizabethan era, the young Flower Girls also symbolised hope and innocence!

Now in the 21st century, Flower Girls still feature at most weddings, but mainly because they are absolutely adorable!! And well- who wouldn't want a gorgeous little one scattering petals down the isle on their big day!? These days, alot of our brides still stick to tradition, and go for an ivory or white gown for the little ones, but maybe with a splash of colour on the sash to match the Bridesmaids, or bouquets. You can however, order some of our Emma Bridals Flower Girl dresses, to match the bridesmaids dress entirely, from the exact same swatches.

Here are just a few examples of our beautiful selection ...
